Why Treba

What makes Treba different from every other Kenyan employer.

UK-Facing Professional Roles

Work directly with UK finance teams, legal practices, SaaS companies, and CX operations. These are career-track positions — not call centre shifts, not data entry contracts. Every role has a named UK client, defined deliverables, and a direct reporting line into UK management.

UK-Facing Professional Roles

Above-Market Compensation

Treba benchmarks compensation against the top 15% of Kenyan market rates for equivalent roles. Every position includes private health cover, equipment provision, paid leave, and a quarterly professional development budget. The 96% retention rate is a function of the compensation structure — not a marketing claim.

Above-Market Compensation

Structured Career Development

Every hire begins with The Nest — Treba's 2-week structured onboarding programme covering UK business context, client-specific tools, compliance standards, and workflow integration. After onboarding, quarterly upskilling sessions cover new regulations (FCA, SRA, ACCA updates), platform certifications (Xero, Salesforce, Zendesk), and domain-specific training.

Structured Career Development

Controlled Infrastructure at Westlands

All roles operate from Treba's office in Westlands, Nairobi. Biometric access control at entry. Monitored network with ISO 27001-aligned controls. VDI and VPN access to UK client systems — data never leaves the client's environment. Equipment provided for every team member.

Our standards

Only the top 2% make it through.

Treba's 5-stage selection process is designed to identify professionals who can operate at UK standards from day one. If that sounds demanding, it is.

This process is for you if:

  • You hold a professional qualification — ACCA, CPA-K, LLB, BSc, BEng, or equivalent
  • You want to work with UK companies without relocating from Kenya
  • You are prepared to prove your skills in a practical assessment, not just an interview
01

CV & Qualification Screen

Degree verification and professional certification checks. ACCA, CPA-K, LLB, BSc, or equivalent professional qualifications are validated against issuing institutions. Applications without verified credentials are rejected.

02

Technical Assessment

A role-specific practical test. KYC analysts run a live sanctions screening exercise. Accountants complete a Xero reconciliation task. Paralegals draft a client care letter. No theoretical questions — only production-equivalent tasks.

03

Speed & Accuracy Test

Timed output under pressure. The task mirrors actual daily workload: processing volume, accuracy thresholds, and turnaround expectations that match what UK clients require in production.

04

English & Culture Interview

Communication assessment covering accent neutrality, UK business vocabulary, written English quality, and cultural context awareness. Candidates must communicate in a way that builds confidence with UK stakeholders.

05

Background Check

DCI Certificate of Good Conduct (Kenya's criminal record check) required for all hires. Professional references verified. For roles handling financial or personal data, additional screening applies.

2%

Only the top 2% make it through.

The ones who do are ready to work on day one.
