Video Editor (Podcast & Branded Video)
- Nairobi (Westlands)
- On-site
- Specialised Tech
- Mid-level
We place vetted Kenyan professionals into UK businesses. We're hiring a Video Editor to cut video podcasts and branded content for a London production agency whose clients work in energy, health technology and financial services. You'll work UK business hours from our Westlands office, in the client's own tools and alongside their producers, while Treba employs you, pays you and supports you from Nairobi. Portfolio first, CV second — start the "What makes you a strong candidate" box below with a link to your work on Vimeo, YouTube or Google Drive. Applications without a portfolio link are not shortlisted.
The work
- Edit full-length video podcast episodes shot on two to four cameras to the client's brand templates — sync, cut, colour-match, level audio and run basic noise reduction
- Produce social cutdowns in 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 with accurate captions, lower thirds and platform-correct exports
- Build and apply motion graphics templates in After Effects and Premiere Pro — lower thirds, title cards, intros, outros and animated captions
- Turn event and conference footage into speaker sessions and highlight reels, often on same-week turnarounds
- Work through feedback rounds in the client's review tool (Frame.io or similar) and hit the agreed revision turnarounds
- QA every export before delivery — sync, caption accuracy, brand compliance, aspect ratio, loudness and file naming — and keep bins, naming, proxies and versioning tidy in the client's shared storage
You should have
- Two or more years of professional editing on branded, corporate or agency video
- Advanced Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects at a working level — templates, lower thirds and simple animation
- A portfolio showing corporate or branded work, multi-camera interview or talking-head edits, and captioned social content. Portfolio quality carries more weight than qualifications
- A strong sense of pacing for interview and conversation formats, plus working knowledge of colour correction and audio levelling
- Professional written and spoken English, the confidence to talk directly to a UK client team in Slack, and a track record of hitting turnaround windows without supervision
- Availability to work UK hours on-site in Westlands — 11:00–19:30 EAT in British Summer Time, 12:00–20:30 in UK winter
- DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Audition, Photoshop or Illustrator, podcast tooling such as Descript or Riverside, a film or media qualification, or previous remote work with UK, European or US clients — all an advantage
What Treba offers
- A full-time Kenyan employment contract with Treba — paid monthly, on time, with PAYE and all statutory contributions handled
- An editing workstation and monitors provided, in a secure Westlands office with controlled access, backup power and internet
- Two weeks in The Nest, our onboarding programme, before your client start — UK client communication standards, the client's tools and workflows, and data security practice
- One client, one team. You take direction from their producers directly, not through a freelance platform or an account manager
